So who are these frisky, jolly, playful cat breeds? Well, there are quite a few. And their lively personalities range from easy going fun to downright mischievous.

This playful cat breed is…very active, athletic and smart
I’m a high-spirited stunner with looks that rival the sacred cats portrayed in Egyptian murals. No wonder I consistently make it to the top of the charts for most popular cat breeds, friendliest cat breeds and even the most intelligent cat breeds!

As you might’ve guessed by this point, I’m not really the let’s-cuddle-and-stay-home type. Rather, I’m the sort of playful cat breed that loves to leash up and go for walks or play endless games of fetch with my humans.

I’m endlessly affectionate, super sociable, and ever so playful, which is how I wound up with the nickname ‘monkey in a cat suit.’ Many of my friends also refer to me as one of the most dog-like cats, which I can forgive ’cause my personality just doesn’t know how to hold a grudge. I am a pint-sized bundle bursting with energy. Not shy at all, I’ll jump and pounce my way into the center of all household affairs where all eyes will be – and will remain – focused on me. I love attention!
A natural at socializing, I’ll often appoint myself as the official greeter of the household. I have no qualms about climbing atop laps and asking for shoulder rides, even from strangers so you might want to warn your guests about me.
But most of the time, I’ll be engaging my favorite human (i.e. you) in play. Like, all the time. This involves jumping on your lap, bringing you toys to get a game of fetch going, or simply following you around while rubbing my head on your ankles – or swiping at them – to prompt you to chase me.
Be ready to give me lots of your attention! If you won’t, I’ll do pretty much anything to get it, which is why I’ve been dubbed the ‘pesky people cat.’ Pesky, I may be, but I’m also unbelievably lovable. Read more about the Singapura.
